Good news and bad news from the weekend...
Unfortunately The Witney (inc. Carterton) Mob had to leave short-handed after Rich had to make an un-scheduled visit to the 'menders'... happily he's feeling much better now.
Good news is that Paul took home the Bronze Medal and a cheque for £1000, for a highly creditable 3rd place. He was looking like the likely winner after repeatedly swapping the chip lead as the final table shrunk, but alas it wasn't to be.
I managed to cover the cost of the tournament entries, hotel, food and beer with the proceeds of a couple of winning cash game sessions... leaving me out of pocket by the cost of the flight, diesel and parking - so about £85 for a very enjoyable 4 day trip to Dublin... not too bad.
